Tourmaline is the name given to a large group of boron silicate minerals. Tourmaline is a group of closely related minerals rather than a single mineral and these minerals share crystal structure but vary in chemical composition, resulting in Tourmalines having more colours and more colour combinations than any other mineral group. Tourmaline’s colors have many different causes. It’s generally agreed that traces of iron, and titanium, induce green and blue colors. Manganese produces reds and pinks, and possibly yellows. Some pink and yellow tourmalines might owe their hues to color centers caused by radiation.

Tourmaline is a popular gemstone admired for its beauty and its healing properties. Tourmaline is a powerful gemstone that promotes love and positivity. Whether you’re wearing tourmaline for its healing properties or simply for its beauty, it is one of Earth’s precious creations.
